God’s Character – and Who Am I In It?
Our understanding of God’s image may not be complete. We have all come from somewhere. We have all been exposed to things, within and without, that have formed our understanding of God’s character. Those things have affected us and shaped our perspective.
God wants to refine your perspective. He wants to help you to untangle your identity from what you do, your job, how well you perform, and any other, worldly standards of human identity and value. Then, God can join you on life’s journey to develop your identity in Him and who He is in you. That is where you will discover the fullness of who He created you to be.
What is God’s character?
How does God’s character apply to my life?
How can God’s character be formed in me?
The answer to these questions are in the fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. These are the attributes of God’s character that most of us are very familiar with, but how well do we understand each individual one? In this teaching, Pastor Scott Harper dives into the meaning of each fruit of the Spirit. He expounds on the significance of what they represent, as a work of God’s Spirit, in our lives.
If you are ready to become more like our Heavenly Father, this profound teaching is sure to challenge, encourage, and inspire you to grow in God’s character.
